Resettlement
CWS Florida’s resettlement case managers provide initial welcome and core services as a response to displacement and disasters.
From initial welcome services like airport pick-up, welcome meals, and housing to connecting to social, health, educational, career services, financial literacy to ensure everyone has food, voice, and a safe place to call home.
Our case managers are providing the building blocks for long-term success and self-sufficiency in our community.
Matching Grant
This employment and resettlement case management program is designed to empower new neighbors to become self-sufficient and successfully employed.
After the initial resettlement period, we provide extended case management focused on building independence through employment skills training, job referrals, and family budget planning.
By combining practical tools with strong community connections and volunteer support, we ensure that every participant gains the confidence and resources needed to achieve financial stability and long-term success.
Preferred Communities (PC) & Intensive Case Management (PC ICM)
PC: Preferred Communities provides case management and support services to eligible populations who may face additional challenges during resettlement, such as medical needs, disabilities, or other barriers to stability. Unlike intensive programs, PC offers targeted assistance to help clients access resources, develop essential life skills, and connect with community supports. The goal is to promote long-term self-sufficiency and successful integration through personalized guidance and practical tools.
PC ICM: Preferred Communities Intensive Case Management offers extended, personalized support for clients with the most significant needs. Through a strengths-based approach, PC-ICM focuses on creating individualized service plans that address complex barriers to employment, housing, and health. The goal is to empower participants to achieve selfsufficiency by connecting them to community resources, fostering resilience, and promoting economic independence.
Housing
As we welcome those in need, one of our biggest challenges is obtaining safe and affordable housing.
CWS FL housing staff identify permanent housing and then partner with landlords and their new tenants to ensure all understand their rights and responsibilities.
